Integral Community
The central and underlying focus of Next Step Integral is to investigate, experiment and actualize, to bring to Life the next steps in consciousness evolution. We seek to do this in our selves, amongst each other, and in all our relations: with the natural, societal and cultural worlds.
How does a glimpsed, and envisaged state become a lived stage, both individually and collectively? How would and could integral consciousness manifest in the world? How would it be reflected on the physical plane, within and amongst individuals and groups, in social structures, in the interpersonal realm of culture, in the myriad forms and expressions of human systems and endeavors, such as architecture, business, education, food production, art, leadership and organizational management?
Ultimately Next Step Integral envisions and is working towards a large-scale demonstration site of Integral Life on earth — an Integral Ecovillage Village of sorts. Next Step Integral has purchased 80 acres of land in the Slocan Valley of British-Columbia and we are currently in the design phase of the Integral Ecovillage project. 2010 will see phase 1 of the implementation plan of the project. In the mean time the ‘embodiment’ part of Next Step is found at the core of our organization and all its branches. All Next Step projects lead and point to this:
Our educational branch provide opportunities to immerse yourself in the leading edge of educational theory and practice. Our forestry project is demonstrating Integral Theory applied to a real life interface between ecology, society, culture and the individual. Our parenting branch works on the foundation of an integral future upon this planet: the children! Our Generation Next branch offers yough adults the opportunity to come together and explore what Integral Life looks and feels like.
And at the organizational core of Next Step are individuals who have made a sincere commitment to ‘walking the talk’ and living in service to consciousness evolution. We encourage the notion that our day-to-day lives be a reflection of and propelled by an integral perspective. We are constantly researching and implementing new ways of being and acting in the world. We want to hear from you, let us know where you think we need to go as a human family?
